3 weeks in

Halloween was pretty fun, I hadn't really dressed up in years. Luke had an airplane costume, Heidi was the standard bed-sheet ghost and I was a zombie tourist!

The family and I went to a "fall festival" in Kilauea where there were games and a petting zoo for the kids but you had to buy tickets for everything so we just wandered around for a while with Kela's family.

We were still there when Brian, who I met in Koke'e the weekend before, called me and we took the bus down to Kapa'a got picked up by the white rabbit (forget her name at the moment) and eventually went down to a party at Lydgate park. There was a keg and loud music (too loud to carry on a decent conversation) and lots of people... It was alright, but not really my thing.

The rest of the week I spent watching Luke while Ant and Heidi went on survey jobs. We go outside and play with trucks, go to the beach with Kela, go to the library, park and pool. He can be pretty testy at times but he's really a sweet kid.

On Tuesday, November 6th, John, a guy from Australia who I met on facebook came to Kauai from Oahu for the day. Matt and one of his friends Peter took me and John on a little hike to a huge waterfall. The water was kind of muddy but it still wonderfully refreshing and it was nice to swim in some freshwater again.

On our way back from the falls John and I swung from a cool little rope swing over the river. I was kind of nervous at first but once I jumped once I couldn't stop.
